Initial Assessment

Prior to treatment, a thorough assessment is administered to all children and parents referred to CAPP. The primary purposes of the assessment are to determine the nature of the child's problems and ensure our treatment is appropriate.

The assessment includes interviews and questionnaires that are given to both the child and the primary caregiver. The questionnaires ask about the child’s emotions and behaviors. In addition to the questionnaires, children complete computer tasks that assist us in determining the most appropriate treatment for them.
