About Us

As part of the Center for Children and Families, the Child Anxiety and Phobia Program (CAPP) is a research clinic under the auspices of the Department of Psychology at Florida International University, with the support of the National Institute of Mental Health. CAPP has been working with the children of South Florida for over 30 years.

CAPP provides comprehensive diagnostic assessments and state-of-the-art treatments for children and adolescents (6-17 years old) who are experiencing excessive fear, anxiety, and related problems. Services also are available for children and adolescents who are experiencing depression. Services are offered in English and Spanish, and in person or via telehealth.
